Writing: Started writing for BRT in April 2002. Besides BRT, I do humor writing and entertaining one-person presentations for groups, discussing such things as: 
The Merits of Designer Duct Tape; Irish Vendettas; Motivational Talks to Improve Business Brain Storming or Drizzle (depending on the intensity of the presentation); Gardening to Support Local Habitat; Things that go bark in the night; NASCAR; Coming in Second; and The True Nature of Golf, to mention a few.

Military service: U. S. Army, Dec. 1954 to Dec. 1956 served primarily in Korea 

Community Activities/Hobbies: Past Chairman, Bedford City/County Museum, Member Bedford Rotary Club, Board Member Bedford Council for the Arts, Member Wharton Memorial Foundation, Member Smith Mountain Lake Arts Council writers group, Sailing as crew in cruising non-spinnaker class racing, woodworking/cabinet/small boat builder.

Personal: Married to Kathleen 38 years, 4 grown children, one grandson, one grand stepdaughter. I also do wood working, such as: Building Dories, Skiffs and other small craft, custom cabinets, picture frames, furniture and other wood crafts.
